My Friend

The word friend doesn't even begin to describe
What you have meant to me
For 19 years you've been part of my life
And were there when I needed you to be
You've stood beside me and dried my tears
When others walked away
You made me laugh all of the time
You always had something silly to say
You loved me with an unconditional love
A love that was honest and true
A love that could withstand anything
And I loved you that way too
Even though we had our battles,
Arguments and you know we had our drama
I knew that I would win the fight
If I said “I'm gonna tell your momma”
Even though you have gone on home
Our story will never end
For you will forever be in my heart
My confidant, my brother, my FRIEND.
