The Homecoming Parade That Had Mom So Excited

I remember being at the Homecoming Parade one year and my son led the group of JROTC participants for the senior high schools. His march and chants were so outstanding that he had the crowd of people in awe. They were saying, “that young man is really leading that group, everyone is in step and that’s the best formation that they had ever seen”. Then my son did some kind of little side steps and his neatly dressed green coattail started swaying from side to side, the crowd went wild. I heard someone say “that young man is going to be somebody and make his mother very proud of him”. I got so excided and started screaming and hollering and telling everybody that is my boy that is my son. I was already proud of him.
